Naveen Jain is co-founder and CEO of moon express and currently helps a large number of entrepreneurs. He firmly believes in the need to keep dreaming because only then can we achieve the impossible. In addition, he will teach us what the abundance mentality is and how to achieve it.
Naveen was born in India. Under poor conditions, where food was scarce. He and his family went from town to town due to the work of his father, who worked for the government, but not wanting to receive bribes and being involved in so much corruption, he was financially affected.
He received his primary education on the ground; In his school there were no tables or chairs. Today his sister has a post-doc in applied mathematics, his brother has a PhD in computer science and he, the least prepared, has an MBA in engineering.
He arrived in the United States with 5 dollars in his pocket and without knowing anyone or speaking English, he was able to succeed.
He started working for Unisys, then went through different startups until he finally joined Microsoft. After 8 years, he felt that a single person could not make a difference in such a large company; so he quit and later founded InfoSpace.
Naveen thanks God and the help of many people; hence the need for him to return to the following generations what was given to him.
He firmly believes in the philanthropy of entrepreneurship (Philanthropy F. Unconditional and disinterested love for the human race) and has the possibility of investing and supporting new entrepreneurs thanks to the abundance mentality.
What is the abundance mentality?
It consists in thinking that nothing is impossible, that nothing scares and that everything we want is in abundance. We just have to think differently in order to achieve it.
Give the example of aluminum. There was always plenty but man couldn’t do anything with it because he didn’t know how to process it. Over time, technology innovated and through electrolysis and other processes, it was able to separate it from the mineral that contained it, process it and work it.
Today, aluminum is the third most common element that can be found on the earth’s crust. So it is not surprising that we see aluminum everywhere.
It also ensures that the abundance mentality is applicable to everything from education to money. The only one that we need is to think differently and dare to achieve it.
He is aware that thinking differently can change the education model, which he considers obsolete. He also assures that through technology the most common problems could be diagnosed and doctors can be left for the most relevant cases.
He also firmly believes that nanotechnology could purify water and thus help low-income populations.
Naveen is not afraid to dream and shares her 3 tips to achieve the abundance mindset:
How to achieve the abundance mentality.
1. Think differently.
It is not about thinking “out of the box”, it is about thinking “in another box”. Being experts in a certain field, we fall into a shortage of abstract thinking. That is why it is important not to be suspicious or afraid to tell our problems to someone who has no idea what we are doing.
They can think outside the box and guide us to solutions we never would have thought of.
2. Don’t be afraid to share.
Many of us think we have a great idea and we believe that not telling anyone will ensure it’s ours. Naveen invites us to RUN. Only that will guarantee that we profit from our ideas. In addition, by talking to others, our limits of thought are expanded.
3. Don’t be afraid to fail.
Failure does not exist to the extent that we learn from what does not go well. In the entrepreneurial world they do not fail, if a project goes wrong, they change their course and take advantage of all the knowledge that the mistakes brought, so they know what they should not do again.
An entrepreneur does not fail, he simply changes course and starts over. Click To Tweet
