Cookie Policy

What cookies are, which ones this website uses, and how you can control them.

Last updated: 7 August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Start And Power LLC (“startandpower”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on startandpower.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data generally. docil.ai is a separate service and has its own cookie and privacy policies at docil.ai.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let the site remember your actions and preferences — such as your login session or language — so you don’t have to re-enter them on every page. “Similar technologies” include local storage and pixels, which serve comparable purposes; in this policy we call them all cookies.

Cookies can be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another provider through our site), and session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept until they expire or you delete them).

2. The types of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the website to function — keeping you logged in to the client area, remembering your checkout session, securing forms, and recording your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off through the banner, because the site does not work without them. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site.
  • Analytics cookies. Help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, how people arrive, and where they drop off — in aggregate form, so we can improve it. These are only set with your consent, which you can give or withdraw through the cookie banner.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not allow third parties to place cookies on our site for advertising purposes. We also use Google Search Console to understand how our site appears in search results; Search Console works with data from Google’s side and does not place cookies on your device through our site.

3. Cookies on this website

Strictly necessary:

  • wordpress_*, wordpress_logged_in_* — keep your session when you log in to the client area. Session / up to 14 days.
  • wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_test_cookie — security and to check that cookies are enabled. Session.
  • pmpro_visit and related checkout cookies — remember your plan selection and checkout state while subscribing. Session.
  • Cookie-consent cookie — records the choice you made in the cookie banner so we don’t ask again. Up to 12 months.

Analytics (only with your consent):

  • _ga — Google Analytics; distinguishes visitors. Up to 2 years.
  • _ga_* — Google Analytics; keeps session state and counts page views. Up to 2 years.

Analytics data is processed by Google LLC (United States). We have configured analytics to collect aggregated usage information; where IP addresses are processed, they are used to derive general location and then truncated or discarded by the provider. You can learn how Google uses this data at google.com/policies/privacy/partners.

The exact names and lifetimes of cookies may vary as we update the site or our providers update their services; we keep this list under review and update it when it changes materially.

4. How to manage cookies

Through our banner: when you first visit, the cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. Rejecting them is as easy as accepting, and the site works fully either way. You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, which reopens the banner.

Through your browser: you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site — such as the client area or checkout — from working. Instructions for common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Opting out of Google Analytics everywhere: Google offers a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a refusal of non-essential cookies for that visit. Because we use no advertising cookies and do not sell or share personal information for advertising, no further opt-out is needed.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example, if we change providers or add features. The latest version will always appear on this page, with the effective date shown at the top. If a change means new non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent again through the banner.
