The Walt Disney story.
At the age of 9, Walt Disney worked delivering newspapers and the fact of having to get up at 12 midnight to start his workday negatively influenced his academic performance. Around the same time he began daydreaming and got into the habit of starting to draw.
Years later he was in charge of drawing the comics for the school newspaper; and between comings and goings, he enlisted in the army. He was transferred to Europe and despite never going into combat, he was doing a very important job; drive an ambulance (which ended up full of drawings).
His passion was evident, drawing cartoons. So she decided to go back to the United States and pursue his dream.
The dream chase began.
He started in a company creating advertisements for magazines and newspapers. Later he opened his own business, which would fail.
He went back to work for another company called Kansas City Film Ad. There they made announcements through animation techniques; and it was there that Walt Disney acquired the necessary experience to start his own business again, called Laugh-O-Gram films.
In his new business, masterpieces and original works such as “Cinderella” and “Puss in Boots” were created. But unfortunately it was more money invested than profit. Reason why in the creation of a film that mixed reality and animation called: “Alice in Wonderland”, Laugh-O-Gram films declared bankruptcy.
Walt tried luck in Hollywood as a movie director, but was unsuccessful. So regardless of his past experiences, he gave himself a new opportunity with animation and together with his brother and a friend of his they founded Disney Brothers Studio. What would be the seed of the multi-billion dollar company The Walt Disney Company.
Walt’s story had many ups and downs but we all know the result. He is a pioneer in the history of animation, creator of emblematic characters such as Mickey Mouse, renowned businessman in the field of amusement parks and winner of 26 Oscars.
