It explains how to cancel, what happens when you do, and when payments are refunded. Our pricing has two parts \u2014 a one-time build fee and a recurring plan \u2014 and each is treated differently, so this policy covers them separately.<\/p>\n<h3>1. Summary<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>You can cancel your plan at any time; it runs to the end of the period you&#8217;ve paid for. No cancellation fees, no lock-in.<\/li>\n<li>The build fee pays for project work. If you cancel mid-build, you pay for the work done up to that point and the rest is refunded.<\/li>\n<li>Fees for periods already used are not refunded, except where this policy or the law says otherwise.<\/li>\n<li>Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days of being approved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2. Cancelling your plan<\/h3>\n<p>You can cancel your Start, Power, or Power Max plan at any time from your <a href=\"\/it\/membership-account\/\">account<\/a> or by emailing <a href=\"mailto:hello@startandpower.com\">hello@startandpower.com<\/a> from the address on your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Start and Power (monthly):<\/strong> your plan and all services under it continue until the end of the paid month, and no further payments are taken.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Power Max (annual):<\/strong> your plan continues until the end of the paid year, and no further payments are taken. Amounts already paid for the current year are not refunded on cancellation, except as provided in Sections 5 and 6.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What happens to your platform, domain, email, and data when your plan ends is set out in Section 6 of the <a href=\"\/it\/terms\/\">Terms of Service<\/a>: your domain and data are yours, we provide an export on request, and we keep the platform online for 30 days so you can migrate.<\/p>\n<h3>3. The build fee<\/h3>\n<p>The build fee is a one-time payment for project work \u2014 designing and creating your platform, connecting your domain, email and payments, and building your first automations \u2014 in the scope agreed in your quote. It is invoiced as stated in your quote (in full before work begins, or in the installments the quote sets out).<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you cancel before work begins,<\/strong> we refund the build fee in full, minus any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf (for example, a domain registration), which are itemized for you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you cancel during the build,<\/strong> you pay for the work completed up to the cancellation date, calculated against the milestones or scope in your quote, with a minimum of 25% of the total build fee to cover project setup and planning. Anything you&#8217;ve paid above that amount is refunded. On request, we hand over the work completed to date in its current state.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Once the build is approved and live<\/strong> (as described in Section 3 of the Terms of Service), the build fee is earned in full and is not refundable.<\/p>\n<h3>4. Fees that are not refundable<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan fees for billing periods that have already started, except as provided in Sections 5 and 6;<\/li>\n<li>the build fee once the build is approved and live;<\/li>\n<li>third-party costs incurred on your behalf and passed through at cost (domain registrations and renewals, third-party licenses, payment-processor fees);<\/li>\n<li>work outside your plan&#8217;s scope that was separately quoted and delivered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 12 months of docil.ai access included with your plan is a bundled benefit with no separate price; it has no cash value, is not refundable, and ends when your plan ends or when the 12 months expire, whichever comes first.<\/p>\n<h3>5. If we fail to deliver<\/h3>\n<p>If we materially fail to provide the services of your plan and do not fix the failure within 14 days of you notifying us in writing, you may terminate immediately and we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period, calculated pro rata from the termination date. If we terminate your subscription without cause, we refund the unused portion the same way. This section does not apply where suspension or termination results from your breach, non-payment, or misuse under the Terms of Service.<\/p>\n<h3>6. EU and UK customers: 14-day right of withdrawal<\/h3>\n<p>If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the legal right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason. To exercise it, email <a href=\"mailto:hello@startandpower.com\">hello@startandpower.com<\/a> within the 14 days stating clearly that you withdraw; we will confirm receipt and refund you within 14 days of your notice.<\/p>\n<p>Where you ask us to begin the services during the withdrawal period \u2014 for example, starting your build or activating your plan immediately \u2014 you consent to us starting before the period ends, and you acknowledge that: (a) if you then withdraw, you pay a proportionate amount for what was provided up to your notice; and (b) once the services are fully performed, the right of withdrawal is lost. This consent and acknowledgment are requested at checkout.<\/p>\n<p>Most of our customers contract as businesses; the withdrawal right applies to consumers, and to business customers only where their local law extends it to them.<\/p>\n<h3>7. Failed payments and chargebacks<\/h3>\n<p>If a plan payment fails, we notify you and retry. If it remains unpaid, we may suspend the services under the Terms of Service until payment is made; repeated non-payment may lead to termination. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us first \u2014 genuine errors are refunded quickly. Initiating a chargeback for a valid, delivered charge instead of contacting us may result in suspension while the dispute is resolved, and recovery of the disputed amount plus reasonable costs where the chargeback is found to be unjustified.<\/p>\n<h3>8. How refunds are paid<\/h3>\n<p>Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval. If the original method is no longer available, we will agree an alternative with you. Refunds are made in the currency of the original charge; we are not responsible for differences caused by exchange rates or bank fees.<\/p>\n<h3>9.
