Throughout history we find some exceptional individuals, capable of achieving amazing things and overcoming pitfalls and difficulties that to most of us seem insurmountable or almost impossible challenges at best.
These types of people and the stories they leave behind are inspiring and worthy of admiration and praise. They are examples to follow, that show us what we can become capable of and push us to cross new barriers, exceed our limits and continue to improve day by day.
Without this type of people, this constant fight against adversity would be much more difficult for us, but, above all, the willpower and effort of these characters serves as proof that with discipline and courage things can be achieved that in many cases the vast majority would dismiss as impossible undertakings.
Undoubtedly Pablo Cusí’s is one of these previously mentioned stories. And it is that this man defied everything that life put in front of him; any obstacle that would prevent you from continuing to move towards his goal in order to achieve his objectives.
History of overcoming Pablo Cusí.
Pablo Cusí, born in the Valencian municipality of Buñol, had been diagnosed with a serious degenerative disease called progressive muscular dystrophy or Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
This pathology prevented his mobility completely, except for the head and the index finger of one of his hands. This logically forces him to have to use a wheelchair and to have an almost absolute dependence on his caregivers for his basic needs.
But none of this would prevent him from moving forward and not only reaching the standards of the rest of his peers, but also exceeding them, despite the extra challenges that Pablo had to face.
In this way, he finished his baccalaureate a year earlier than usual and also managed to finish his degree a year earlier than most students take, which is why he received the extraordinary degree award from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia.
The transportation costs from his town to the university were higher than usual due to his condition, and he also needed the support of an educator who would help him on a day-to-day basis and be his hands on at the university.
But not content with his extraordinary achievements, Pablo Cusí was clear that he had not studied the degree to stay without doing anything after finishing it. He wanted to practice the profession he had studied and work. And he did, at the Garrigues company where he undertook his internship to become an important employee who dealt with such weighty clients as Lehman Brothers.
In addition, and as if that were not enough, he also created the company Epic dragons, dedicated to the world of eSports and online poker. He lived his beginnings in poker enjoying the various casino games (which can be found on the net and are accessible to all users over 18 years of age) and would become one of the main players in one of the editions of the Estrellas Poker Tour, which took place in Barcelona and in which he participated with his brother.
Pablo Cusí passed away in October 2020 and was honored in his hometown, Buñol, where he was a favorite son. He was without a doubt an extraordinary person and his story will remain forever in our memories. The story of a man whose tenacity and strength would inspire us and teach us that we can always aspire to be better and never give up.
